Nominative case

The nominative case is the most commonly used case. It indicates the subject of the sentence, i.e., the person or thing doing the activity in the sentence. Be careful about sentences that use equating verbs. In the sentence "The woman is a doctor", both woman and doctor are in the nominative case.

In the following exercises, you will practice using articles, pronouns, and adjectives in the nominative case.
