Dative case
The dative case is used to show that a noun is receiving the object of the sentence. In English, we use prepositions to do this. In the sentence "I give flowers to the woman," flowers are the object. The woman is receiving them. In German, we express this relationship using the dative case: Ich gebe der Frau Blumen. The article der indicates the dative case.
These exercises will help you practice using articles, adjective endings and pronouns in the dative case.
